5 Great Things about GameStop
I’ve spent a decent amount of time in GameStop stores digging through piles of used games, spying on the clearance rack, and interacting with other video game fanatics. I’ve learned that there are five things about GameStop that make it one of the best stores to shop in.
Here are five great things about GameStop from a completely biased GameStop junkie.
1. Trading Video Games at GameStop
GameStop is one of the only places that still lets you trade in your old video games for store credit. Some gamers hold on to their game library for sentimental reasons but I finish a game or get tired of it and it starts collecting dust. At GameStop, I can trade those old and under-played games for new ones and save a little dough in the process.
2. People Watching the GameStop Weirdos
A friend once told me that the cops could arrest everyone in GameStop and be about 90% accurate. For some reason, the weirdest people in the world converge on GameStop, myself included. There’s no better people watching than during a rush at GameStop.
3. Pestering the GameStop Hipster Employees
GameStop’s employees act just like workers at Starbucks or American Apparel. For some reason, they think working at GameStop makes them hip, even though they all look ridiculous in their uniforms. Driving these guys crazy is often the highlight of my week.
4. Finding Girl Gamers
If there’s any place to find hot nerd girl gamers, GameStop is it. Girls are big shoppers, and have you ever met a girl that didn’t go nuts for a discount store? Since GameStop prides themselves on their deals on video games, you can always find a girl gamer hanging out there.
5. GameStop Loves Coupons
If you don’t have a stack of 2012 printable GameStop coupons, you’re behind the times. GameStop is coupon-crazy, offering coupon codes for their web store, printable coupons for retail stores, and handing out coupons in-store like they’re going out of style. If you like to buy and play a ton of video games, GameStop is an ideal store for you. You’ll spend less and find yourself able to try more games than if you paid full retail price.
I could go on and on about my love for GameStop. Since there are more than 6,000 stores around the world, I’d be hard pressed to find a place on Earth that wasn’t within a few miles of my favorite store. Thank God.
